Automated Warehouse ASRS System consists of a variety of computer-controlled systems for automatically placing and retrieving loads from defined storage locations. The system operates under computer control to maintain inventory. The retrieval of an item is done by specifying the type and number of items to retrieve. The computer decides where the item can be retrieved in the storage area and arranges the retrieval. It directs the correct automatic storage and retrieval machine to the item storage location and instructs the machine to store the item to the location to be picked up.
